Summary

A study of the quantity of aloin in Aloe ferox Mill, and Aloe marlothii Berger throughout the year has been made. The results show that the content of this compound fluctuates markedly throughout the year. The highest percentage aloin in the dried leaf juice of both species was found during the summer months.

Der Gehalt an Aloin in Aloe ferox und A. marlothii schwankt im Verlaufe des Jahres erheblich. Der Höchstgehalt findet sich in den Sommermonaten.
